With the bright field variant, the focus is on magnifying the specimens as true to the object and color as possible. The long-lasting LED illumination and the stable cross-table mechanism offer the user the greatest possible comfort during the examination. The phase contrast version makes use of the fact that, in addition to amplitude, the phase of the light waves also changes as they pass through the sample, depending on its refractive index. This also allows direct imaging of structures that have only low inherent contrast and would only be visible in brightfield microscopy with artificial staining. The brightfield and crown-phase microscopy variants cover a wide range of microscopic examinations. All you need to do is decide which of the two instrument variants is best for your work.
